About the Watch

Watches in the VOELEN Mechanical Collection feature hour, minute and second hands.

The second hand is a small second hand off center.

The crown is located at the 2 o'clock position on the watch.

Winding and Setting the Time

WINDING

To wind the watch, rotate the crown in position 1, clockwise. Take care not to over-wind the watch as it will damage the movement.

SETTING THE TIME

To set the time, GENTLY pull out the crown to position 2. Once at position 2 you can rotate the crown either direction to set the time.

When the time is set to the current time, push the crown back in to position 1.

Strap Changes

The VOELEN Mechanical Collection features "no tool" quick release straps.

To change the strap, simply slide the pin towards the center of the strap. The pin inside the strap will retract out of the bracket and you can gently pull down that corner.

The strap will then come off of the bracket.

Adjusting the Strap Bracket

The strap was designed to allow flexibility in the angle of the strap from the case to the wearer's wrist. The tightness and angle of this bracket is adjusted at VOELEN before the watch is shipped to you.

You can adjust the angle by GENTLY pushing the bracket up or down. If you find that the bracket is too tight or too loose, you can adjust the bracket using a 1.5mm allen head wrench.

You must retighten the bracket after adjusting the angle. A loose bracket can cause the strap to disconnect from the watch at the quick connect attachment point.

ONLY adjust the screw passing through the case. The screws opposite the quick release pins are for decoration only.

TIP: When adjusting the tightness of the strap bracket, have a strap connected. A strap will keep the bracket square and centered.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning

Case

To clean your watch, softly rub it with the provided microfiber cloth. Avoid using harsh abrasives or window cleaners, as these could harm the sapphire crystal or the finish of the watch case.

Buckle

When cleaning the buckle of your watch, use the same microfiber cloth. Before you start, detach the strap from the watch. Fully open the buckle to ensure thorough cleaning. Gently wipe it with the microfiber cloth provided. It's important to avoid harsh abrasives or strong cleaners, as these can harm the buckle's finish.

Movement Service

We recommend that the watch be serviced every 5 years as a general rule. The service interval varies depending on climate and how often you wear the watch (the more you wear it the better)!

General Care

Temperature Considerations:
Keep your watch away from sudden temperature shifts and extreme temperatures, either above 60° C (140° F) or below 0° C (32° F).

Magnetic Exposure:
Avoid placing your watch near strong magnetic sources such as speakers, mobile phones, computers, refrigerators, or other electromagnetic devices.

Impact and Shock Protection:
Protect your watch from thermal shocks and physical impacts, as these can cause damage.

Exposure to Chemicals:
Ensure your watch does not come into direct contact with solvents, detergents, perfumes, cosmetic products, etc., to prevent damage to the bracelet, case, or gaskets. Also, avoid exposing your watch to steam or similar harsh environments.
